In the framework of EMMIS policy with regards the education of electrical engineers and electricians, an additional technical seminar titles “Transformers and other products for electrical supply and control” was completed.
The seminar was attended by undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of National Technical University of Athens.
The seminar content was divided into two sections:
The first section was the theoretical presentation. Applications, uses, operations and benefits of certified low-voltage transformer were presented, together with a series of products of the sector of power supply and control (such as as voltage stabilizers, insulation monitors, temperature monitors, multimeters and network analyzers, industrial leakage relays and current transformers.
In the second part of the seminar, participants watched the production process of EMMIS certified low-voltage transformers, from the phase of collection and control of raw materials tilll the quality control of finished items.
EMMIS entire production and quality control process strictly follow the highest international standards, are tested and certified annually by the internationally recognized certification body TÜV SÜD.
